Auger Boring Contractor in West Texas
Auger boring is the dry-bore method behind most cased crossings: a track-mounted machine rotates an auger inside a steel casing, advancing it on a fixed line and grade while clearing spoil. When a crossing has to hold an exact grade — gravity sewer, a DOT or railroad casing — auger boring is how you get there.

Grade accuracy is the point
Unlike a steerable bore, auger boring is set up to a surveyed line and grade from the launch pit and held there for the length of the drive. That makes it the right tool when the carrier pipe has to maintain slope or meet a casing spec to the inch — not just get from one side to the other.
The method suits relatively short, straight crossings in stable ground. In the caliche, clay, and limestone of the Big Country, tooling is matched to the face — rock heads for the hard shelves, standard cutting heads for the loam and clay.
Casing and carrier
We jack steel casing to the required diameter, then install the carrier pipe — water, sewer, gas, or conduit — inside it. The casing protects the carrier and satisfies the cased-crossing requirements that highways and railroads impose.
